The Magazine restaurant adjoins the Serpentine Sackler gallery in the middle of Hyde Park. Head chef Oliver Lange is German-born, but has travelled internationally to develop his palette. His food is most notably influenced by his time in Japan, where he trained with bona fide sushi masters and earned the nickname “Ollysan”.

 
“The big volcano roll of spicy salmon, quail egg, black pudding and langoustine is the perfect example of Lange’s playful combination of Japanese techniques and British produce. The black Angus beef fillet with sweet potato, Swiss chard and edamame is a classic hearty main with gentle nod to the East. For dessert, the warm chocolate bread pudding is lent a refreshing twist by roasted tea ice cream.”
